this drinking glass my Momaw Jiggs gave me today.
It's the one I always chose to drink out of when I was at her house as a kid. I don't know what it was about this particular glass... the color, the gold trim, or how fancy Paris seemed to me back then. But today, she found it in her kitchen cabinet and said she wanted me to have it.
I hesitated once she shared with me that her sister Dorothy (my Aunt Dot), gave her the set of eight different city-themed glasses one year for her birthday. But she still insisted that I take it home.
It's the little things that mean the most to me now. Especially memories of sitting at her kitchen table with my favorite glass full of crushed ice and Pepsi.
